Arriving in Busan!

2hr 40min to Busan from Seoul, with Wi-Fi the whole time!

love this place.

It's spicy chicken chips! In the shape of chicken!

More Banana milk. Jake's at 9 now!

We arrived in Busan, and were greeted by even more Cherry Blossoms!

And, SANDY BEACHES!
How's the weather in Toronto?  ;p

We dropped our bags of at our new place and took a stroll down the beach to the fisherman's warf area.

The restaurants are all behind rows and rows of tanks of live fish.

We got ushered into this one and given a table with an open view of the ocean.

The menu was all in Korean, and we were at a total loss for ordering. We just pointed at the cheapest option, since neither of us was too hungry. The waitress said it would have raw fish, so we're thinking a bit of sashimi maybe?

Starts off with some Soju (Korean rice alcohol, tastes kind of like vodka)
and warm corn with some kind of cream and crab sauce.

Things are going ok....

but then....

?!? a huge array of raw seafood. Octopus, abalone, shrimp, other things I didn't recognize.

Luckily Jake was game for eating the stuff that squirted back when you bit it. We each tasted it all, but I think I might opt out of some of them on a return visit...

After that hit the table, THEN the raw fish came. with more sides, like mashed potatoes, salad, and pork cutlets.

AND THEN THERE WERE TWO MORE WHOLE GRILLED FISH AND GRILLED CLAMS!!
WHAT!? this was the cheapest thing on the menu!

Needless to say we were full of fish and fun by the end of the meal.
It was an awesome adventure!

After supper, we walked the beach again.

BUT AT NIGHT :D

At night the beach was full of young people shooting of fireworks, playing games, and enjoying live music!
(lots of joggers too, Busan is so fit!)

and there were crazy lights on the beach :)

So far, Busan's been pretty amazing~
